Self Introduction: Victoria Yung

Hello!
My name is Victoria Yung and I have just completed my third year of English at the University of Calgary. I am also currently pursuing a Japanese minor while I am attending school here.

I was born and raised in Calgary and since I was a child I have always wanted to be a teacher. I loved school (and still do) and I really admired the people who taught me. That is why I ended up pursuing a degree in English at the university. That way, I could teach what I loved most in the same way that I learned to love learning.

Outside of academics, I also enjoy my hobbies, such as reading, sewing, baking, and doing embroidery. I actually got into baking through my mentor and friend from my church who would invite me to her house once a week to make something with me since I was in junior high. Because of her, I have a love for baking and sharing the things I make with my friends.
It was only in the past year that I took up sewing and embroidery. Most of the time I make small things like keychains that make for cute handmade gifts for friends and family.
These are some examples of what I have made before.

I look forward to going on this trip with everyone!
